Therapy Services
It can be nerve-wracking to get started in therapy for the first time, or with a new therapist. I specialize in supporting individuals who are unsure about therapy or have had bad experiences within the mental health care system. I prioritize choice, collaboration, and a person-centered approach.

In therapy, we will explore how you can use the strengths you already have to heal and begin to bring awareness to the complex layers that make you who you are. You will have a protected space to process and move forward from past experiences and learn to treat every part of yourself with self-compassion to live in the world with confidence and clarity.

We will co-create a space for you...

-
To identify your values and explore ways to take action in applying these values to the decisions you make.
-
To foster deeper self-compassion and an awareness of the many parts that make you who you are.
-
Process past experiences so they no longer impact your daily living.
-
Deepen your awareness of your nervous system and practice strategies to step out of a fight, flight, or freeze zone.
-
To explore what healthy, supportive relationships look like and what it might look like to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
I provide specialized treatment for...

Anxiety
Feeling on edge, persistent worry and/or fear, panic attacks. You are in a state of constant fight or flight. Perhaps you find yourself exhausted, thinking: "I just can't keep this pace up forever.” Therapy can help bring awareness to why you feel this way and provide powerful tools to regulate your nervous system to feel calm and in control.
Depression
Hopelessness, a lack of motivation, or a complete shutdown. Maybe you have struggled with suicidal thoughts, and aren't sure what the point of it all is. Depression can feel like moving through molasses. Therapy can help you build back trust in yourself so that you can confidently move through the world.
Trauma
Our experiences as we move through life shape us and will continue to impact us if we do not take the time to process them. For many, young adulthood is when we begin to make sense of our earlier experiences and decide how
to move forward. Whether you have experienced physical, relational, sexual, religious, or emotional trauma, therapy can provide a protected space to do this courageous work.

Suicial Ideation
Many people don’t feel they can talk about suicide, which often leads to shame, secrecy and people not getting the support they need. I am a certified CAMS therapist in Colorado (Collaborative Approach to Managing Suicide), and use a non-judgmental and structured approach to treat suicidal ideation. Goals may be to treat drivers of suicidal thoughts, explore alternative coping strategies, empower personal choice and above all, keep you safe.

Psychosis
Perhaps you have or have had experiences that others have not, including hearing voices, seeing images, or having times when you don't feel yourself. For many, psychosis can feel like a battle is happening in one's mind. Therapy can help you develop a better relationship with these experiences, destigmatizing commonly misunderstood symptoms, and support you in working towards your chosen goals.
